Short description: The article describes the citizens attempt to defend their constitutional right to life in the Supreme Court of Russian Federation. These citizens live in Tomsk near one of the biggest nuclear-radioactive utility in the world. They lodged a complaint to the court against acts (failure to act) of Tomsk oblast administration, which violated their right to healthy environment.

SINGH, J.:-

1.We heard the arguments in detail on 13-12-1990 and dismissed the petition with costs amounting to Rs. 5,000/- with the direction that the reasons shall be delivered later on. We are, accordingly, delivering our reasons.
